GUEST UNIT 32: Basic housekeeping & laundry services
The GUEST IAMI (International Association of Maritime Institutions) course for yachts is a training program specifically designed for yacht crew, with the aim of improving the skills and knowledge necessary to ensure high standards in onboard service, and contributing to the reputation and success of the vessel.
The course defines the skills regarding the correct use and storage of cleaning products and chemicals, how to clean and maintain the following surfaces (wood, stone, glass, leather, carpet and curtains, furniture and upholstery, metals), silver polishing, maintenance and protection of works of art and antique objects, room detailing and cleaning, bed making and sheet folding, cabin folding and refolding service.
