GDM is excited to announce two noteworthy accomplishments that highlight our dedication to advancing maritime education via innovation and teamwork among companies of the Group.
STCW Programs in Genoa under the Maltese Flag: With pride, we announce that our first STCW courses under the Maltese flag have started in Genoa. This accomplishment emphasizes the importance of businesses working together to provide better, more comprehensive services to our clients. We successfully integrated our offer with the technologies, resources, and skills through our prestigious business partner MaritimeMT and CMA Sistemi Antincendio. The first course offered to Genoa Superyacht Hub customers, allowed us to offer solutions regarding the maritime training inside the Port of Genoa, a gap in the offer that was long-awaited to be filled. The beginning of our activities is the result of the efforts made by another company in the Group, Pesto Sea Group, who facilitated our entry into operations and to whom we express our gratitude, looking forward to a continued professional collaboration.
Investing in Naval Cyber Security training In an era of rising cyber threats, GDM has made significant investments in naval cyber security training. Onboard personnel must be prepared to deal with such threats. We provide practical and realistic training on defense and response techniques against ship cyber-attacks using cutting-edge Full Mission Class A Wärtsilä maneuvering simulators. We recently held the first maritime cyber security course in Genoa for the Alice Cosulich crew, using these advanced simulation tools. Our training in naval cyber security is critical for protecting ships and ensuring the safety of crew, passengers, and cargo. The simulators allow us to recreate real-world attack scenarios, preparing personnel to recognize and respond to cyber threats quickly and effectively.
We are dedicated to preparing mariners for the challenges of the digital world. We will continue to invest in education and innovation to ensure the highest standards of safety in the maritime industry. Through our ongoing efforts, we aim to enhance the skills and preparedness of maritime professionals, contributing to a safer and more secure maritime environment.
